Engineering

Helping budding engineers to develop valuable hands-on skills and theoretical understanding.

Our Mechanical Engineering facilities at the Aberdeen Altens Campus and Fraserburgh Campus are extremely well equipped, as we have a range of engineering workrooms, workshops and laboratories which are used for both practical and theoretical learning.

Our Electrical Engineering classrooms are equipped with industry standard equipment, where students can train using real, working machinery – often in simulated industry-related activities.

Our Welding Technology Centre based at our Fraserburgh Campus was created as part of the Oil and Gas Academy (OGAS) and allows the College to scale-up in order to meet the demand of training higher numbers of welders. The facility now has 32 dedicated Welding Bays in which three welding processes – MMA, MAGand TIG – can be undertaken.
