Why take this course?
This course will allow you to explore the fundamentals of working in the fashion industry whilst building the skills and knowledge required to progress to further study or employment. You will learn to appreciate the diverse levels of the industry, from High Street fashion to Couture and independent designers. As well as focusing on the creative aspects, the course will also help to enhance your understanding of trends, communication, budgeting and costing - providing you with a varied and impressive skill set for the future.

What you will experience
You will cover a wide range of subjects from fashion merchandising, forecasting and planning to marketing, branding, public relations and events management.
Applicants should have (at least) one or more of the following or equivalent qualifications: a minimum of two Higher passes at grade C or above; successful completion of an HNC qualification; an appropriate NC qualification at SCQF Level 5 or 6; appropriate groupings of National Units; or an SVQ/NVQ at Level 3 in a related subject.
Different combinations of relevant National, Vocational or equivalent qualifications from other awarding bodies may also be acceptable, and those with relevant work experience in fashion retail or a related industry may also be considered.
