Why take this course?
This course has been designed to provide you with an experience of the hospitality sector. It allows for strong personal development, and the building of core life and employability skills - excellent preparation for those considering progression to the SVQ Food Preparation & Cooking (Level 1) course.
What you will experience
You will learn all about the various aspects of food preparation and associated cooking skills, as well as team working, personal awareness, health and wellbeing and communication.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but candidates should be capable of working at SCQF National 3 and 4 level.
This is a supported Learning Opportunities programme and would suit candidates that have identified learning needs and/or received additional learning support at school.
