This advanced level course is aimed at those who wish to pursue a career in television.
Why take this course?
This course is designed for those who wish to pursue a career in television, and will provide you with the knowledge, creativity and technical skills required to succeed in the industry. You will develop specialist abilities and experience in using cameras, sound and lighting, and in pre-production, production and post-production work.
What you will experience
This course will allow you to take advantage of our state-of-the art TV and media facilities and learn to operate industry standard equipment. You will gain invaluable practical experience through the study of cameras, lighting, sound recording, editing and scripting. You will also study content development, research and news gathering – essential in obtaining an accurate perspective of what it’s like to work in TV and film.
This course is suitable for those with a minimum of two Highers, or those who have successfully completed a related non-advanced course. For those returning to education, life skills and experience in the workplace may allow entry subject to availability.
