This advanced level course is aimed at those who want to work in professional audio environments.
Why take this course?
This course is for those who want to work in professional audio environments. The course will train you in the specification, utilisation and deployment of professional audio equipment, as well as how to operate in the professional sound reinforcement and recording fields.
What you will experience
You will strengthen your understanding of working in the creative industries, and get the chance to make full use of our state-of-the-art media facilities. You will acquire skills in recording, sound reinforcement, multi-track mixing, music sequencing/programming and how to assess/remediate the acoustics of rooms and will also learn about legal issues, communication and management - essential in ensuring you have a well-rounded view of the different areas that exist within the industry.
Applicants should have a minimum of two Highers including Maths or Physics, or should have successfully completed the Music SCQF Level 6 course.
For those returning to education, life skills and experience in industry may allow entry.
