Library Plus has tens of thousands of resources for study in our libraries on campus and online.

Opening hours

The Library Plus is located on the Ground Floor of the Aberdeen City Campus Tower Block, next to the Gallowgate entrance.

Digital Skills Space

About the Digital Skills Space

The College’s Digital Skills Space at Aberdeen City Campus is a modern and accessible facility where students can study and access key resources/support. It is located within the Library Plus on the Ground Floor of the Aberdeen City Campus Tower Block, next to the Gallowgate entrance.

The space caters for Bring your own device (BYOD) groups and those who require access to desktop PCs.

PCs are also available in the Library Plus areas at both our Aberdeen Altens and Fraserburgh campuses.

These spaces are used to deliver core IT teaching, digital skills support workshops and provide students with access to flexi-use PCs.

The Digital Skills Development team can provide support to students with:

Accessing College systems:

  • Logging on
  • Connecting to college wifi
  • Onedrive
  • Office 365
  • MyNESCol & Turnitin
  • Printing

Using Microsoft Office programs:

  • Word
  • Excel
  • Powerpoint
  • Access
  • Outlook

And any other general issues regarding the use of Information Technology.

Students requiring support should contact digitalskillsdevelopment@nescol.ac.uk and a member of the Digital Skills Team will respond. If necessary they can provide either a call via Microsoft Teams, or a face-to-face support session.

IT HelpZone

About the IT HelpZone

If you are having technical problems with your personal device then you should contact the IT HelpZone at  Aberdeen City Campus. The HelpZone is manned by helpful and informative computing students who should be able to assist you.  The team can help with passwords, give advice on IT related issues, PAT Test your devices (which must be done before you can use them at College) and troubleshoot technical issues.
