Congratulations to the STEM ambassadors of tomorrow
April 26, 2019
Well done to the first STEM Club graduates of NESCol.
Tomorrow’s engineers aged 8 to 11 successfully completed five days of STEM challenges at our Easter STEM club held during the holiday break.
We introduced various stealth learning techniques to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, whilst learning about safety, forces, measurement, materials, pneumatics, air resistance, mechanics, compression, trajectory, beam deflection, mass, electronics, fabrication, construction, gravity, pressure, stresses, the use of hand tools and – most importantly – problem solving, teamwork and communication.
It was a pleasure to work with them and we hope to meet them again one day at North East Scotland College. Once again, well done to all that attended and assisted. More STEM initiatives to follow.
