Why take this course?

This course is aimed at speakers of other languages who wish to pursue a career in business.

The focus of the course is to increase your knowledge and appreciation of a wide range of business areas - effectively preparing you for further study, or direct entry into the workplace.

What you will experience

You will study a variety of topics, all of which make for a well-rounded base knowledge of activities and influencing factors relating to business. Your focus will be on business decisions, enterprise, finance and accounting, the economy, and how to use IT software and systems. You will also study everyday communication for speakers of other languages.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have knowledge and skills relating to business or administration, as well as an ESOL qualification.

At the very least, applicants should have Core Skills Communication at SCQF Level 4 and some knowledge of business.
