Why take this course?
This Level 1 qualification (QCF) is roughly equivalent to Level 4 in Scotland (SCQF). It is suitable for anyone over the age of 16 years, and aims to raise awareness of mental health, what is regarded as good mental wellbeing and the factors that contribute to poor mental wellbeing. The course consists of one mandatory unit divided into assessments, and is an excellent opportunity for continual professional development within the health sector.
What you will experience
You will study a range of important issues surrounding mental health, dispel some of the myths and misconceptions frequently linked to mental health issues, and develop awareness of the rights of those with mental health issues. You will be required to complete each assessment and send it to your assessor, who is available for guidance throughout the course.
This course will require you to manage your workload independently, with a basic level of tutor support.
Previous knowledge or experience would be of benefit, but is not essential.
