Cooking on a Budget: Family-Friendly Meals
This fun and interesting short course will teach you how to cook healthy, affordable and nutritious meals to suit the whole family while sticking to an affordable budget.
Why take this course?
Do you want to eat healthy for less? Are you worried you don't have the knowledge or skills to cook healthy, affordable, nutritious meals within your budget? If the answer is yes, then come along to our eight week short course. We will provide you with the knowledge, skills and most importantly the confidence to be able to make your weekly shop go further — impressing the whole family. You will learn within a fun but professional environment, and gain knowledge from an expert tutor.
What you will experience
During the eight weeks, you will cover topics such as:
- Food hygiene and safe storage guidelines
- Basics of Nutrition and Health
- Meal planning
- Vegetable preparation
- Cooking with meats
- Basic fish preparation and cookery
- Pasta dishes
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

If you take up a place on a College course, at the start of the course you will be asked to sign an enrolment form.
