Learn to make a range of delicious pastries.
Why take this course?
If you find making pastry a challenge then this course is for you. You will learn the secrets of perfect pastry and once you know how to make the classics, you’ll be able to create endless sweet and savoury dishes - from melt-in-your-mouth short-crust pastry to crispy filo pastry parcels.
What you will experience
This workshop covers the basic skills and techniques required to prepare and make pastry. You will become more confident in your approaches to making pastry, and will demonstrate more sophisticated techniques. You will study the following types of pastry:
- Short-crust pastry
- Choux pastry
- Puff pastry
- Filo pastry
The course fee includes expert tuition and you will also be provided with recipes to take away, so you can practice your new culinary skills at home!
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
What you will need
You may need to bring some basic ingredients along, but specific requirements will be made known at the course induction. You will also be required to bring an apron to class each week.
