An in-depth study of the principles and applications of electronics.
Why take this course?
This course will introduce you to the principles and applications of electronics, and enhance your employment potential. Upon course completion you will be able to pursue a career as an electronic technician or incorporated engineering. The course also supports continual professional development, whilst providing you with a valuable, in-depth knowledge of electronics and tackling electronic tasks.
What you will experience
To gain the award must successfully complete 12 credits including 10 core units and 2 optional units, with certification from the SQA. The main units are:
- Analogue Electronic Principles
- Combinational Logic
- Sequential Logic
- Single Phase AC Circuits
- Electronic Testing Skills
You will also get the chance to develop skills in practical electronics construction, testing and projects, synthesis for solving electronic problems, research and study.
