Why take this course?
This course will develop your analytical and practical skills in measurement and control engineering when it comes to maintenance, servicing, installation, testing, commissioning and operation.
You will also develop a high level of competence in research, planning and analysis, ensuring you are well-equipped to progress to a higher level of study or employment in a range of industries – from oil and gas to energy, chemicals, food and drink.
This course includes HNC Measurement & Control.
What you will experience
This course will allow you to strengthen your communication and IT skills, whilst developing specialist knowledge and capabilities in process control, the use of measurement systems, control valves and positioners and how to effectively operate Programmable Logic Controllers.
Applicants should have Higher Maths (Grade A or B) and one other Higher in English or a related technology/science qualification (Grade A or B).
A Foundation Apprenticeship in any subject area will be considered equivalent as one unrelated Higher for entry to this course.
