Why take this course?

This course is aimed at those who have successfully completed the VRQ Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy, and/or those who have experience of working in the industry who want to gain a formal qualification. It will allow you to develop the knowledge and skills required for going on to secure employment in the body and spa therapy sector.

What you will experience

You will learn about advanced aspects of body and spa therapy and related industries, and how to work effectively with colleagues and clients. Excellent practice in the promotion and selling of products/services and maintaining personal health and wellbeing, alongside practical skills in body massage, aroma therapy massage, stone therapy, facial electrotherapy and spa treatments will be developed. Learning in a realistic working environment, these skills will give you the ability to complete a Commercial Experience unit.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have achieved the VRQ Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy or an equivalent course, and have a minimum of three National 5, Intermediate 2 or Standard Grade Credit level qualifications, or appropriate life/work experience.

Good communication skills, a willingness to learn new practical skills and working with the general public are essential qualities for this course. Essential skills will be developed throughout the programme.
