Why take this course?
This course is suitable for those with an interest in the multi-disciplinary study of Media. You will develop skills in production and theory, enhancing your employability prospects in the media and related industries.
The course focuses on the important balance of theory/understanding and practical skills, whilst exploring the research, planning and evaluation aspects involved in media production - whether in education or industry.
What you will experience
You will cover a range of key production skills including photography, videography, broadcast media and how to write for the media. You will also focus on the analytic side of media and delve into film theory, advertising, law, semiotics and ideology.
Applicants should have a minimum of two Highers (preferably including English) or successful completion of a non-advanced course.
For those returning to education, life skills and experience in the workplace may allow entry.
