For musicians who want to strengthen their skills and prepare for a career in the wide-ranging and exciting music industry.
Why take this course?
This course is designed for musicians who wish to develop their career in the music industry, and will give you the chance to work on a range of projects and performances alongside like-minded musicians. It is primarily aimed at those who wish to develop their skills and prepare for a career in music, and is therefore suitable for prospective composers, songwriters, performers or behind the-scenes technicians/producers.
What you will experience
You will learn to produce your own music in custom-built studios, using the latest industry standard equipment. You will focus on live performance, music technology and engineering/production whilst studying UK trends, and learn to appreciate the diversity of opportunities that lie within the music industry as a whole. You will also complete a creative project and learn to organise a community-based musical event.
Applicants should have at least three passes at National 5, Intermediate 2 or Standard Grade Credit level. Alternatively applicants should have relevant prior experience. All applicants will be invited to an informal audition to demonstrate performing skills and musical knowledge.
