Sound Production SCQF Level 6
You will develop a range of appropriate practical skills, knowledge and understanding relevant for contemporary sound production practice.
Why take this course?
The course will provide appropriate learning experiences in sound production at a non-advanced level.
You will gain an understanding of the infrastructure of the music and audio industries and develop sound production skills.
What you will experience
You will experience practical classes in studio recording and live sound contexts. You will explore the underpinning theory including understanding the signal path and an introduction to electronics. You will explore music remixing, sound design, synthesis and sampling and digital DJing.
Applicants should have at least three passes at National 5, Intermediate 2 or Standard Grade Credit level. Alternatively applicants should have relevant prior experience. All applicants will be invited to an informal interview.
