Travel & Tourism with ESOL
SCQF Level 5
This course is designed for speakers of other languages who want to work in the travel and tourism industry.
Why take this course?
This course is designed for speakers of other languages, and will introduce you to some of the key skills and concepts involved in working in the travel and tourism industry. The course acts as excellent preparation for progressing towards study at a higher level or employment, as it will help to strengthen your command of the English language.
What you will experience
You will study everyday ESOL within the workplace, as well as the travel and tourism industry as a whole. You will also look at more specific areas within the industry such as tour guiding, customer care, marketing, airport ground operations and European and Mediterranean tourist destinations!
Applicants should ideally have four National 5 units (intermediate 2) or a mix of four National 4/5 qualifications to includes Maths and English. If applicants have National 4 (Intermediate 1) qualifications only, they are unlikely to be accepted.
Applicants must have a pre-intermediate ESOL qualification. International students will be assessed for entry requirements prior to interview.
