New part-time courses for 2022

NESCol’s updated part-time and distance learning guide is out now with courses starting from January through to June. There are a few surprises with some new courses added to the 400 strong programme within: health and wellbeing; hair and beauty and electrical.

From February NESCol is introducing an active health and wellbeing programme. Over 8 weeks the focus is on improving individual health and well-being, part of which is creating a tailored fitness programme to increase overall fitness levels. Available as 3 hr evening classes at both Aberdeen City and Fraserburgh Campuses this course costs £60.
For hair and beauty enthusiasts there are new courses dedicated to mastering the fundamentals – basic blow drying and styling, basic bridal hair; introduction to barbering; introduction to make-up artistry plus gel polish services. Prices start from £35 for these evening courses which are held over 4 to 6 weeks and are available at both Aberdeen City and Fraserburgh Campuses.
For those electrically minded there are two new courses running at Fraserburgh Campus. PAT Testing and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations both of which can be funded by Individual Training Accounts ITA), up to a value of £200 but this fund closes 28th February so interested applications should not delay an applying. For businesses there are also options for funding through the Flexible Workforce Development Fund.
