She said, “I joined the Introduction to Professional Cookery course straight from leaving school and, although there were challenges along the way, I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my time at college.

“The lecturers are what makes the course so special. They have an abundance of industry experience allowing them to share skills and knowledge while always making lessons enjoyable.

“The course is much more than just attending lessons - if you are committed and eager to learn you can take much more from the experience. Throughout my time at college, I have taken part in a number of competitions and events such as the Seafood Scotland Exhibition and the Country Range Student Chef Challenge allowing me to gain more industry experience and enhance my skills along the way.

“I am gutted that my time at the College has come to an end, however I am delighted to have secured my dream job at Restaurant Andrew Fairlie in Gleneagles.

“I thoroughly recommend studying professional cookery and hospitality at NESCol to anyone that has a keen interest in cookery and would like to pursue a career in the hospitality industry!”
