NESCol student Camryn Forman has won an international photography competition organised by the famous Zippos Circus to celebrate World Circus Day.   Camryn (18) from Peterhead is in her second year of an HND Photography at the College’s Aberdeen City Campus and entered the competition at the beginning of the year.

Camryn’s image of a Zippos circus van with the big top in the background on the hill of the links in Peterhead was commended by award winning photographer and competition judge Peter Lavery, who said, “This photo is outstanding; the scene evokes feeling, a story, a little timelessness.”

Zippos is currently touring the UK and performing in Peterhead where Camryn was presented with her prize in the big top on Monday night.

Camryn said, “I’m just delighted to have won this competition especially when there were entries from people from all over the world.  I love photography and have been taking photos since I was 11 years old. I’m really enjoying my HND at NESCol and hope to continue my studies and progress to Robert Gordon University in the future.”
