Remote learning in place as NESCol prepares for 2021 restart
January 5, 2021
NESCol will be operating on a remote basis when the College session restarts on Wednesday (6 January).
Students timetabled to attend campus from Wednesday to Friday (6-8 January) are asked to remain at home. Online teaching will continue through the College’s Virtual Learning Environment.
Staff will also work remotely, with only essential personnel present on Campus. Only staff authorised by their line manager to attend should do so.
These measures, which were communicated prior to the festive break, are designed to provide an opportunity to assess the latest Scottish Government guidance.
Following the announcement on Monday of tighter Coronavirus restrictions nationally, consideration is being given to any further steps the College may need to take to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of students, staff and the wider community.
Members of the Leadership Team are meeting regularly to consider the evolving national guidance.
Additional information will be shared at the earliest opportunity by email, on the NESCol website and social media channels.
