SQA results day support on offer from NESCol teams

July 29, 2024

North East Scotland College (NESCol) will be providing a range of advice and guidance to school pupils receiving their SQA results in August.

Places are available across a range of subject areas, with the new College year starting on 26 August, and applications are being accepted throughout the summer.

Clearing week activity at NESCol is designed to help learners decide their next steps and will run from 5-9 August, with results day falling on 6 August this year.

The College – with its three main campuses in Aberdeen city centre, Altens and Fraserburgh – has a range of full-time opportunities on offer.

NESCol’s advice team will be on hand to guide prospective students through the application process and answer general queries. There will also be the opportunity to speak to subject specialists. A dedicated phone hotline and LiveChat support will also be available, with drop-in support on offer at the City and Fraserburgh campuses throughout the week.

NESCol Principal Neil Cowie said: “Experience tells us that waiting for exam results can be a worrying time – but we are here to help and offer friendly advice to help every individual with that next step beyond school. With courses from entry level through to HND, offering degree pathways and routes to employment, there are choices for everyone.

“The aim of Clearing week at NESCol is to provide support and guidance, with the opportunity to match potential applicants to the places we have available. We also provide advice to those who have already applied and now have their results.”

For general advice on applications and studying at NESCol, the clearing hotline will run from 10am to 3.30pm from 5-9 August on 01224 612301. A LiveChat option is also available on our website. Appointments to arrange a call with a subject specialist on 7 August can be booked now at www.nescol.ac.uk/clearing.
