HNC Complementary Therapies graduates

Session 2018-19 saw the first year of the HNC Complementary Therapies at NESCol. Throughout the course candidates completed theoretical and practical units including anatomy and physiology, traditional head massage, body massage, reflexology and aromatherapy.

The complementary therapy class had a busy year and worked extremely hard to complete individual assignments, case studies as well as contributing to group work.

Their practical studies were not restricted to in college treatments as the students also worked externally in a commercial environment, completing 28 hours of clinic practice. This has led to employment opportunities for some and resulted in others setting up in business.

The students received very positive feedback from their clients on their professionalism, client care and practical abilities. This valuable feedback helped students gain confidence and as a result a number of students have now progressed onto further study in this field.
