Qualification for Work, Level 4
“I love everything about NESCol! I’ve made good friends, get on well with my classmates and the lecturers are really nice. “
Leon has been attending NESCol since 2001, initially as a School Link student during his time at Bucksburn Academy. He enrolled on the full-time Preparation for Work Level 3 course after leaving school before progressing to Qualification for Work, Level 4.
These courses are mainly aimed at progressing students with additional learning needs who are looking to develop essential skills for employment. One of the aspects of the course that Leon enjoys the most is having the opportunity to work in the College’s very own charity shop at Aberdeen City Campus, RECYCol, and dealing with customers.
Leon would recommend NESCol to others and said, “I love everything about NESCol! I’ve made good friends, get on well with my classmates and the lecturers are really nice. “
In addition to his time spent at College, Leon is a medal winning Taekwondo competitor and has won gold, silver and bronze medals. He travels to train in Manchester every month and has recently returned from Austria where he represented Team GB in the Taekwondo European Poomsae Championships.
