SDS Individual Training Account (ITA) approved provider logoThe Individual Training Account (ITA) from Skills Development Scotland (SDS) provides funding of up to £200 towards the cost of an approved training course.

Skills Development Scotland (SDS) Individual Training Accounts (ITAs) are for people who are 16 or over, living in Scotland and either in low paid work or actively seeking work. You must have an income of £22,000 a year or less, or be on certain benefits to be eligible to get up to £200 towards the costs of learning or training.

You can apply for an ITA if you are not undertaking any secondary, further or higher education, SDS funded training or participating on the Community Jobs Scotland programme.

ITAs are available if you are interested in learning something new or developing an existing skill to support you in work. There is a wide range of courses to choose from and you can study with any ITA approved learning provider, including learning centres, local colleges, universities and private training providers.

How to apply

NESCol is an ITA approved provider and you will be able to find and apply for an ITA approved course by visiting SDS’ My World of Work website:
www.myworldofwork.co.uk

Please note - all applications for an Individual Training Account must be made through SDS’ My World of Work website. NESCol is unable to assist with applications for this funding.

You can search and book courses which are ITA approved on the My World of Work website.

If you’re unable to apply online you can either visit your local SDS centre where an SDS careers advisor will help you make your online application or you can call the SDS helpline on 0800 917 8000 for further advice and assistance.
