The results are in! Student satisfaction continues to grow

The results of the annual NESCol Student Satisfaction and Engagement Survey have been collated, providing a positive endorsement of the College experience.
Survey participation numbers among full-time students increased in the 2022-23, up from 65% to 73% for those on FE courses and from 57% to 69% for HE students.
Overall satisfaction among full-time students continues to rise, increasing from 89.4% in 2021-22 to 90% in 2022-23. 96.5% of respondents would recommend North East Scotland College to others.
Satisfaction levels relating to 11 of the 13 key questions set by the Scottish Funding Council grew in 2022-23.
Questions specific to NESCol were also met positively, including more full-time students feeling their time at college has helped develop knowledge and skills for the workplace – up from 91.9% last year to 93.3% this year
Teaching and learning materials rank highly, with 95.9% of full-time students noting resources are helping them to learn and 93.8% of full-time students saying lessons prepare them well for assessments (up 1.1% on last year).
Support was also covered in the survey, with 95.1% of full-time students reporting being able to access additional support or advice when needed, and positive experiences in relation to access to Microsoft 365. The safety of campuses and the learning environment provided by libraries were among those highlighted.
For part-time students the overall satisfaction increased from 89.6% to 93.4%. In distance learning the figure dropped slightly, from 81.4% to 81%.
