Small classes, unique location

Class sizes are small enabling lecturers to offer as much, or as little support as you require.

Overlooking the marina and port of Peterhead, we are able to replicate real time vessel activity within classroom training scenarios.

Equipment and facilities

We are a purpose-built training centre and delegates will have access (course content dependent) to the following: ECDIS suite with 1-on-1 workstations; Transas simulator with 3 training bridges; radio simulation room; net hall; chart rooms and library.

There is a coffee shop housed within the training centre which serves a range of hot and cold snacks / lunches.

Tailor-made courses

We design bespoke courses for shipping companies to meet specific training requirements such as ship handling; bridge resource management and linesman training.

If you are an employer and would like to discuss how the Academy can help you then please contact Chris Bell.

Funding Support

For seafarers not sponsored or employed by a shipping company some courses may attract sponsorship or funding. This is dependent upon a number of different factors including course choice, personal circumstances and fund availability.
