Top Tips on Full-time Applications
Applying online is quicker. You can save your application and come back to it. Once you’ve applied you can check the status of your application online.
If you’re creating an account for the first time, keep a note of your email address and use a memorable password.
Have your exam certificates ready
Have your exam certificates ready for reference — preferably scanned or electronic copies.
Prepare your supporting information – ‘Tell us your story so far’
You don’t need to fill in this section but you may wish to include any related work experience or any other information that will support your application.
We recommend that you prepare this before you start the application process. There is a limit of 4000 characters — not words — in this section. We’ve put together some useful hints and tips about what to include.
Remember there is a time limit
You have a maximum of 20 minutes to complete each section of the online application. Read each section carefully before you start and make notes — you can also download a PDF of the application form to help you prepare for each section. Once complete, each section will automatically save.
Add us to your contacts

Make sure you apply for the correct course at your chosen location – some courses have similar titles and take place in Aberdeen, Fraserburgh and Ellon.
Check that your personal details are accurate so we can contact you about your application.
In some cases it’s appropriate to discuss your application with another person – a parent, guardian, spouse, partner or guidance teacher.

If you have qualifications that you would like to tell us about as part of your application, please enter these into the qualifications area under the Education section.

There is a question that asks if you are a UK National and have lived in Scotland all of your life. This question is asked in relation to eligibility for course fees and funding. If you answer ‘No’ to this question then you will need to provide us with copies of all required documents so we can progress your application on to the next stage.
