Oskars Rancans

Oskars Rancans engineering career is undoubtedly going places! After finishing his studies he received multiple job offers before accepting a job as an Electrical Design Engineer for an aviation company in the south of England, which specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke aircraft interior projects.

Oskars came to NESCol after leaving St Machar Academy and his initial plan was to find an apprenticeship while achieving SVQ level. However, he decided to take his studies further and after successfully achieving his HND at NESCol’s Altens Campus, Oskars moved to Edinburgh and was able to enter directly into year 3 of an electrical engineering degree at Napier University. Oskars achieved first class honours and was awarded a university medal for outstanding academic performance.

Now living and working in Bournemouth, Oskars said, “I’m really enjoying my new role and I’m glad I have my qualifications behind me. They have set me up for an engineering career which will allow me to work and live in different places.”
