Open Days are designed for school pupils, career changers, parents, carers, teachers – in fact anyone who wants to explore how College can help with your learning journey.

The best way to decide if College is the place for you is to come along and meet us at one of our upcoming Open Days. These are held at Aberdeen Altens, Aberdeen City and Fraserburgh Campuses.

What to expect
On the day
Expect a friendly welcome at our Open Day! Pick up a “What’s On” flyer and Course Guide from our welcome desk teams, who will direct you to the course areas you’re interested in.
Lecturers will be eager to discuss your options at each course area. You’ll be shown where you would typically study as a NESCol student — whether a classroom, studio, or workshop — and you’ll likely see examples of class work, demonstrations, and activities.
If you’re unsure about the right course for you, our Student Advice team is here to help you narrow down your options.
Get the information you need
By the end of the day, you should have information on:
- Your shortlisted courses
- Available funding options
- The application process
- The support available to you during your studies
Stay as long as you need
You’re welcome to spend as much or as little time as you’d like exploring each campus. It’s important to get a good feel for what life as a student is like.
