English Language Requirements
Any international students coming to North East Scotland College should be reasonably fluent in spoken and written English to perform well on our courses.
What do you need?
Any international students coming to North East Scotland College should be reasonably fluent in spoken and written English to perform well on our courses. You will therefore be asked to provide evidence of your English language ability. We accept a range of internationally recognised English language certificates and qualifications such as:
- International English Language Test (IELTS)
- Cambridge (PET, FCE or CAE for example)
- TOEFL
- City & Guilds
For all courses our English Language Requirements PDF can be used as a guide. Our Care courses require a higher level of English, however, so for more information please view the English language requirements on a particular course page or contact our Student Advice Centre.
If you do not hold any of the English qualifications mentioned above, North East Scotland College does offer an alternative English test. For more information please contact the Student Advice Centre.
