This advanced level course will allow you to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills in a range of core engineering principals and technologies.
You will acquire a wide range of transferrable skills, highly sought after by employers, ensuring you are well-equipped for progression to further study or direct entry to employment.
This is a classroom-based academic programme at SCQF Level 7. It is broadly equivalent to three Advanced Highers, or year one of an HND or University programme.
The course addresses how to solve mechanical engineering problems with mathematical solutions, which are applied to mechanical engineering principles.

HNC Mechanical Engineering (SCQF Level 7).
Whether you wish to progress in your studies or enter the world of work, North East Scotland College has excellent progression opportunities, with links to eight universities across Scotland and great relationships with industry employers.
You could progress into year 2 of an HND in Mechanical Engineering (with added credits required).
Successful completion of this course could lead to a related degree programme.

This course is only available to pupils in S6 across Aberdeen, giving pupils the opportunity to experience life as a College student whilst staying on at school.
