What you will experience

This interactive one-day course can be delivered face-to-face at a NESCol campus, online using Microsoft Teams or at a local business premises for four to twelve attendees.

You will learn about:

  • The purpose of performance management
  • Setting SMART objectives
  • The management skills needed for performance management (e.g. feedback skills, avoiding bias and handling difficult conversations)
  • The appraisal interview
  • The role of the manager in ensuring follow-up on commitments
  • Ongoing measurement of performance, outside of the formal appraisal process
