This course is designed for qualified plumbers, heating engineers, oil engineers or gas engineers.
Those attending must hold current water byelaws, and unvented hot water systems certification.
This four-day course is designed for learners to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of heat pump system installation requirements. Covering the different operational characteristics of each type of heat pump, including air, ground and exhaust heat pumps.
Relevant for both new build homes and for those updating existing systems.
Delivered in partnership with the National Energy Skills Accelerator (NESA) and with support from Scottish Government’s Just Transition Fund, this course is fully-funded, so there are no costs for participants.
The course consists of four days of training and assessment. Training days allow candidates to enhance their knowledge before undertaking the assessment.

Course participants must be domiciled in the North East of Scotland (with a postcode in Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, or Moray) to be eligible for a fee-waiver place.
