There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, we do recommend you complete at least the Next Steps course first, if still relatively inexperienced in drawing & painting.
At this stage in your creative arts journey, you will be ready to experiment with subjects and methods to create your own composition.
You will be given the freedom to explore your own ideas and imagination but also look at abstraction where you will interpret your own meaning of a piece of art.
This course is all about exploration and creativity.
With support from the tutor, you will express your own ideas – altering, experimenting and following what is happening in the piece.
This course is 100% practical. You will receive tuition from a qualified art tutor, but will be given space and time to work on your own ideas and pieces. The tutor will guide you through your composition providing advice and tips when needed.

You will be provided with some basic materials and equipment to help you get started, but you may need to add to these as you progress.

Following this course, you may wish to undertake further study in the creative arts subject area.
