If you aspire to work in the areas of fitness, health and exercise instruction then this course is suited to you. You will study a wide variety of subjects spanning the whole spectrum of sports science and fitness leadership, as well as a PDA in Personal Training.
You will develop a wide range of fitness leadership and exercise prescription skills whilst building a good understanding of the key underpinning scientific principles that support practical performance.
This course provides the opportunity to gain membership with the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA). CIMSPA is the professional development body for the UK’s sport and physical activity sector, offering Scottish Colleges support with student and practitioner membership alongside partnership opportunities. CIMSPA has identified the standards for professional excellence and best practice in the sport and physical activity sector, members and partners are recognised for upholding and delivering these standards.

If you take up a place on a College course, at the start of the course you will be asked to complete an enrolment form. In completing the form and/or taking up a place on a College course, you will enter into a contract with the College and be bound by the North East Scotland College Standard Terms and Conditions of Study. Please note that courses are offered subject to (a) there being sufficient numbers of enrolments and (b) the availability of resources.
