Why take this course?
This IELTS preparatory course will enhance your academic and every day English vocabulary while equipping you with the necessary skills to sit the IELTS examination. You will develop a specific skill-set related to what you will encounter in the examination and all tasks are intended to familiarise you with the format of the test. These include:
- Understanding and describing graphs and charts
- Writing letters to request information
- Structuring and organising written arguments
- Understanding a variety of accents
- Time management in assessment conditions
You will also be taught strategies and skills to maintain meaningful conversations and how to understand and analyse a variety of written texts.
Throughout the course you will be guided by an experienced ESOL tutor who will be on hand to share experiences, give meaningful advice and provide appropriate feedback on your performances and progress.

IELTS results
Please note, IELTS results are released online after 13 days of the exam date and IELTS results are valid only for 2 years after the test date. Therefore, if you are taking this preparatory course with a view to sitting the IELTS exam in the near future, please note the validation period for the IELTS certificate.
Fee Waiver (Remission of Fees)
Your course may be free if you are not a full time student with NESCol and you are: in receipt of benefits; or care-experienced; or your household taxable income falls below defined levels.
