Why take this course?

This course equips managers and employees with the tools to create a safer, more inclusive workplace by addressing bullying and harassment effectively.

It provides clear definitions and real-world examples to help identify and prevent such incidents, while exploring the legislation that protects employees.

What you will experience

This interactive half-day course can be delivered face-to-face at a NESCol campus, online using Microsoft Teams or at a local business premises for four to twelve attendees.

You will learn to:

  • Describe the meaning of the terms ‘bullying’ and ‘harassment’
  • Understand the legal responsibilities employers have for dealing with incidents of bullying and harassment
  • Recognise the signs of bullying and harassment in the workplace
  • Implement an anti-bullying and harassment policy for your workplace and ensure all employees are familiar with it
  • Establish procedures for dealing with grievance and disciplinary matters and ensure all employees are familiar with them
  • Respond to complaints of bullying and/or harassment
