NESCol earns two finalist spots in national college awards
September 5, 2026
The shortlist for this year’s CDN College Awards has been announced – with NESCol a finalist in two categories.
The College has been recognised by judges in the Community Impact category for its partnership work with Foyer, a highly integrated model of community learning that has transformed lives across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire for almost 30 years.
In the Sustainability Action category, the success of the Energy Transition Skills Hub in its first year of operation and the impact made by the Energy on the Move outreach vehicle has been selected by the panel.
The CDN awards recognise excellence in Scotland’s college sector. The winners will be announced on 3 December at the annual ceremony in Glasgow.
Neil Cowie, NESCol Principal and Chief Executive, said: “To be selected as a finalist in two categories, in the face of such strong competition from across the country, is something our whole College community can take great pride in.
“The initiatives that have been recognised are very worthy of their place in the limelight and to be chosen by the respective judging panels is a reflection on the work of colleagues and students who have contributed in so many different ways.
“We look forward to the ceremony later in the year and to celebrating so many positive stories from colleges the length and breadth of Scotland.”
The full list of finalists is available to view on the CDN website.
